Reviews
Give them a shot, for real. So I want everyone to keep in mind that I’m writing this review from the viewpoint of someone who is in the food service industry.
We pulled up and were about three cars back from the window. It was around midnight on a Friday and this place was busy. After a few minutes we get to the window and the gal (owner) running it is super personable and lets us know that it’ll be a few minutes. EVERY single person in that cart was hustling. Owners running food, another gal is completing the orders and there was a guy on the grill. We loved the wait honestly. The homie on the grill was forming those patties by hand (wearing gloves for all y’all who don’t understand food handling and freak out) with precision and pride. Loved seeing that because we knew right then they weren’t using premade frozen patties. Got our order in and the gal asked us to pull forward. No worries on our part. Owner brought the food out and thanked us for our patience.
Now to the food. We got 2 Deuce-Duece’s, fries and onion rings, all for $18! We’re from central Oregon and you can’t get one solid burger for $18, WITHOUT a side. Fries were standard shoestring fries, hell we sell the same ones, and were exactly what we expected. Onion rings were good, nice and crispy with plenty of onion in them. The burgers, solid AF. Great flavor, generous slice of tomato on there with their special sauce. Gooey cheese and seasoned meat. We will eat here again.
Bang for the buck 10 for 10. Food quality 10 for 10. Customer service 10 for 10.
Also, to the Grubhub driver that left a one star review…seriously pal. I hope they blocked your dumb a** from ever picking up there again. I’d of been a lot meaner to you bud.
Pretty upset. Ordered a duece duece and got home to find a single patty on my burger. After waiting 20 minutes in the drive through (not exaggerating) it was frustrating. Burger was really good and a good price. But I paid for a patty I didn’t get. Fries were okay, tasted a little burnt.
I just tried Gotcha burger, for the first time, today. It was really good. Very greasy but that is the style. It reminded me of an old fashioned burger. I had the duece deuce burger and a milkshake. They both were very good. The prices at gotcha burger are very responsible, compared to most burger joints. The service was fair-good. Nobody even acknowledged us for maybe 5 minutes or more which was uncomfortable, because as a first time customer I wasn't even sure if I was in the right spot to order. Someone eventually came to take our order, and she was very friendly. The food was done fast and it was delicious. I will definitely be going back to gotcha burger. There's several items on their menu I want to try.
Hands down one of the best burger spots in Eugene. The burgers and fries here are absolutely delicious! The service is fast and the owner and employees are all incredibly kind and personable. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, especially in the newly added seating area. There is even a pinball machine to play while waiting for your food. The prices are fantastic and the food is even better. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Was very happy with the food quality and price, the service was amazing, and the beef was delicious! The location was convenient but loud because of traffic, the artwork was awesome, and once I got over the sweetness of the burger sauce, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It would have been great to have the basketball hoop moved from lying across the only outdoor table, and I'll definitely be asking for less salt on the fries, but I will be returning. It was totally worth it.
I loved my chili cheese fries, and the chili burger was delicious. They were very nice and I would recommend this place without any hesitation. I will return again for another delicious burger here.
Thank you, Gotcha burger!!!
Everything about this place is fantastic. The food tastes good and is made fresh. The staff are super friendly and cool in a way that is infectious. They even have a recreation area with an arcade and a basketball hoop. I'm not sure if the rec is for employees or the community, but in Scenario A: it means they promote fun, healthy lifestyles for employees and offer cool modes of release during breaks with no need to travel, and in Scenario B: they've built something fun for the community to come enjoy completely outside the context of eating food. Both scenarios are forces for good. I greatly respect this outfit and hope its success is enabling everyone who works there to eat well in their day to day lives. One of the quickest and easiest five stars I've ever given.
Oh, the prices are also very reasonable and they play good music.
This was my first time at Gotcha burger. I have driven past a dozens of times but never stopped. I stopped and fed my family of five for supper. I found the food pricing was extremely reasonable. The food quality was excellent. There was some review on here where someone would rather go to McDonald's over Gotcha Burger. That person is delusional.
We tried their bacon cheeseburger, fried chicken sandwich, Philly cheesesteak, onion rings, and chili cheese fries. All of it was excellent. My only complaint was they put onions on the chili cheese fries and those should not come automatically, but be optional upon request. That small thing is not enough to sway the overall quality and service.
We will be going back and I recommend the same thing to others.
